When we lived in a small cabin, I did this to each child's dresser to maximize book and curriculum supplies storage. I love it.

This is another storage saving tip I used when we lived in a small house. I changed all the beds so that they were elevated enough to add storage underneath.

Some great ideas here. I found that putting a long shelf above windows, doors, or cased openings gives a lot of book storage space. Paint the shelf a fun color, install shelf supports, put your shelf on top of the supports, and…instant book storage!

Love the idea Karen!! At least the kids can reach it. You know the adage to “look up” is good, but when you use the books regularly, you need something lower than the ceiling..lol
So I loved your tip. Too, one year, good grief, but we had a bathroom we didn’t use and I used the bathtub for storage.lol lol lol for a short time until I purchased shelves.
